I'd eat humans if I had to

Eh, don't lie. If you were in a situation where the only way the group could survive is to eat their own, you would. It's ridiculous to say otherwise. Obviously this is only in situations where food is exhausted or simply cannot be found. I think the question we should really ask ourselves here is why do we even think that way in the first place?

Why do we think that it is wrong to kill a fellow human being? Spare me the whole religious, amoral good and bad crap. Why is it honestly wrong to kill a fellow human being? I know that it is "wrong" but why is it wrong? Obviously I do not want it to happen to me, neither do most animals but why is it wrong for me to kill someone else? Is it purely because we do not want it to happen to ourselves that we do not inflict injury on others? Is it because we have been programmed to think that way? Is it because of the consequences of our actions to other people? If so, why should we care. If not, is it because we may be killed or lose our freedom?

Am I a sociopath for thinking this way, or is it because I am purely just curious as to why we are wired the way we are?

The final question for this post... Does my topic make you uncomfortable? I'll do a rewrite of this post, it's a poor expansion on an interesting topic but my sleeping pills are kicking in.

Killing another person is the most permanent way to violate their human rights.

Therefore, the justifications for it are quite few: capital punishment for freako sickoes, or soldiers at war.

It cannot be utilized, unfortunately, for morons who cut you off in traffic; asinine bureacrats; people who cut in line; and people who fart in confined spaces occupied by other people.

By the way, I've been told that people taste like pork. Our fat isn't in the muscle tissue like a cow, but rather around the edges, same as a piggie.

I do not know this from personal experience.

Seems to me that, people being at the top of the food chain, the consumption thereof might not be good for Your health -- waht with accumulation of toxins and such.

Why should anyone care about another's human rights though. Is it because we're caring people or scared people?

I wouldn't be surprised if we tasted like pork, our genetics being extremely similar and all. Eh, if I haad to, I would. I wouldn't just chop someone up for the fun of it, too much screaming and pleading for mercy.

Giggle, I love farting. =DDDDD

it's not about whether we care or we're scared, we care because we're scared.

it seems to me like you're looking for a "moral" explanation ['honestly'...] as to why killing is bad, when this is precisely the kind of explanation you do not want.
people don't like killers because they're cold bastards who could turn on you any day, that is, they're considered immoral, untrustworthy, etc etc. and yes, just by living in a society, you could consider yourself to have signed a contract agreeing not to kill in exchange for not being killed, and breach of that contract gives the punishment. and yes, we're somewhat programmed to not just kill other humans when they do things we don't like - that wouldn't be good for our chance of survival, for the species and for the genes which others share with us. you're killing yourself in part when you kill other people.

your post doesn't make me uncomfortable, but it makes me wonder why you're posing a question like this - you're not a sociopath for being interested in why humans think and act as they do, or because you want to investigate our wiring. but you're an idiot if you don't 'get' the answer to your question.

being able to kill someone would also be a form of showing how you're physically superior to another. Survival of the fittest and all that. Think of people who won't survive if we did away with the law. who have the people that draw out laws been? people who are at the top of the food chain, people who have the most to lose. i'm not explaining my comment since i have a killer headache. do draw whatever conclusions you do from it

One might argue that because they have shitty genes, I should eliminate them from the gene pool. I hate the whole, we're all connected so let's not be assholes to each other bullshit.

Yes yes, I get the answer, as I said, it was a poor expansion on a shitty topic but haven't been in the mood to update it.

And shut up anonymous, you can read my previous posts if you're bored.

Chin, um... Ok? They're called anti-inflammatories. Use them wisely, not if you have a bad stomach then you need to take something else. Idiot.
